We have another beautiful real bride for you this week – Holly, sharing her wedding experience with us. Holly was a joy to have in the boutique and had the most incredible wedding shoes that we looked forward to swooning over at each fitting!
We got engaged on the 11th December 2014 (which was also my 21st Birthday!) Grant had taken me to Paris for my birthday and he proposed right at the end of the day when we were on a dinner cruise along the river!
When it came to wedding dress shopping, I started off by looking at bridal boutiques online and the dresses they stocked. I always knew that I wanted a dress with sleeves so it was really important to find a shop that stocked the kind of sleeved dresses that I liked. When I came across La Couture Bridal, I fell in love straight away. La Couture have the most beautiful variety of dresses (which was also really important for me incase I tried on a sleeved dress and didn’t like it!) but I also loved all of the sleeved dresses in stock – one Stella York gown in particular, which turned out to be the dress that I chose!
. What was your experience of dress shopping at La Couture?
My bridal experience at La Couture has been fabulous from start to finish and I genuinely really miss fitting nights with Kelly and Lisa. We used to have such a giggle and it was something that I always looked forward to!
My initial appointment was with Karen and Millie who was also amazing. Everyone has always been so helpful and offered great advice. The shop itself is also stunning which makes visiting even more enjoyable!
The wedding was held on Friday 20th October 2017, at Brockencote Hall. And as I’m sure most brides will say, the day was just perfect. There are so many things that were really special to me that day but above all, preparing to walk down the aisle and then seeing Grant’s face at the end was my absolute highlight!
I was soooooo nervous that I was shaking and worried I was about to break out into a full on panic attack! Me, my dad and bridesmaids were all in a line ready to walk down and I was like ‘Noooo wait I’m not ready I’m too nervous, I’m really scared!’ But before I could do anything else, the string quartet had started playing and we had to go. One of my bridesmaids – Jazz, turned round and said ‘Holl, just breathe. We love you’ and then she was gone and we were walking down the aisle!! As soon as I saw Grant’s face at the end of the aisle I completely calmed down. And as soon as we came out of the ceremony, I wanted to do it all over again.
